Call for Artist Talk Moderators!

WCD presents post performance Artist Talks in conjunction with its subscription series. If you may have experience and interest in this role, please send us an expression of interest via email!
Your expression of interest can be as simple as an email with a few paragraphs telling us about yourself and why this role interests you. Or your bio and an email with a couple of sentences expressing your interest.
This role may be suited to someone who loves contemporary dance, as well as the creative process, talking with artists and being in a public role.
Moderators ideally have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, care for the work being discussed, as well as for the well-being of the people in the room. Someone with public speaking experience, a professional and positive disposition, and familiarity with the work of WCD is ideal.
Commitment:
- Attend the preview show
- Meet with choreographer after the preview show to discuss the upcoming talk
- Attend the show the day of the Artist Talk
- Moderate Artist Talk after the final show, which is typically a Sunday matinee
- Artist Talks are typically 20 – 30 minutes in duration
Honorarium: $150
