WCD is looking for a Treasurer!

WCD is looking for a Treasurer, a person with financial skills and experience. Ideally, this individual will have board experience, strategic foresight, and a strong commitment to fulfilling WCD’s mission.
 
The core responsibility is strategic oversight and guidance. The Treasurer provides guidance and advice regarding finances, internal controls, compliance, audits, and risk.
 
What is involved: For Board Members, the time commitment is approximately two to four hours each month. Board meetings are held in person & online, in Winnipeg, ten times per year. These are volunteer positions with no financial compensation. Board members typically attend and/or support WCD events, are interested in promoting WCD’s events, and may be interested in assisting to develop revenue opportunities, including fundraising.

Applications will be reviewed as received by Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers Board of Directors.

Who we are:
Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers is a not-for-profit organization & registered charity dedicated to contemporary dance. 

Founded in 1964, Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers is Canada’s longest-running contemporary dance company. The company creates, produces and presents contemporary dance with a view to advance the art form for professional artists and audiences alike.

The company presents an annual subscription series, operates the Rachel Browne Theatre, and is under the leadership of Artistic Director; Jolene Bailie, appointed 2019.
